June 28—Vidalia High School competition cheerleader Rena McKenzie has been selected as one of the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches’ Associations Top 40 Cheerleaders and will be heading to Columbus State University on Saturday, August 5th for the finals competition to decide the Top 16 All-State Team.

The Top 40 have already been scored and selected from their application and now at final competition they will also go through an interview process and performance. The application and interview are 25% each and the performance is 50% of the final score. The score will be used to determine the All-State Team.

McKenzie will also be able to bring a couple of VHS teammates to help her with her stunts, but they cannot help with her cheer or any other part of the routine. The routine has to be less than two minutes and will consist of cheering, dance, jumps, tumbling and stunting.
