Lady Indians Win in ValdostaMay 1--The Vidalia Lady Indian Golf Team won their 8th Region Title in a row posting 157 total and qualifying to defend their State Title in Waynesboro, May 22nd & 23rd. Jessie Dalton shot a one over 73 for Low Medalist honors, despite five 3 putts on less than perfect greens at Valdosta Country Club. Grace Draughn added an 84 for the winning total while Madison Strickland with a 89 and Autumn Carter finished the day with a 91. St. Vincent’s finished 2nd with a 168 followed by Metter at 171 and Toombs Co. at 202.

Meanwhile the Vidalia Boys finished in a tie for second place with Metter with a team total of 334, which was three shots behind Benedictine at 331. Jackson Toole carded a 76 for the Indians with Christopher Phillips shooting an 84 and Dillon Bennett an 85. Doug Chesser rounded out the scoring with an 89.

Both teams will compete in the State Championship on May 22nd & 23rd with the Girls playing at Applewood Country Club and the boys playing at Waynesboro Country Club.
