Oct 4--Memorial Service for Mr. Phillip Irvin Boykin, age 36 of Buffalo, New York will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:30AM in the Resource For Life Community Outreach Christian Center, 6978 Ga Highway 46 in Soperton, Georgia.  Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery.  He passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 in Buffalo, New York.

Phillip was born in Vidalia, Georgia on March 5, 1982.  He grew up and was raised in a military family; Fredrick, MD, Honolulu, HI, and Virginia Beach, VA.  He was a graduate of Ocean Lakes High School and the Governor’s School for the Arts.  He furthered his education with a degree in Biology and Biological Sciences from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and received a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from SUNY Buffalo.  Phillip was employed as a Clinical Research Associate at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Survivors include his mother, Jackie Boykin of Palmetto, GA, father, Irvin Boykin (Terry) of Newport News, VA; his twin sister, Phaedra of Palmetto, GA and an older sister, Misty of Montevideo, Uruguay; two grandmothers, Mabel Mills of Vidalia, GA and Georgetta Boykin of Newburgh, NY; five aunts, Sara Parks of Palmetto, GA, Ruth Little (Chester) of Warner Robins, GA, Sue Shinehoster of Vidalia, GA, Carol Smith (Willie) of Soperton, GA, and Marietta Underwood of Newburgh, NY; one uncle, Tim Mills (Sharon) of Vidalia, GA; a host of great aunts and uncle, cousin and friends.
