May 16--Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Donnie Lee Coleman age 59 of Midland, Texas whose death occurred Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Midland, Texas.   Donnie was born to the parentage of Ms. Helen Grace Coleman and the late Mr. Willie Henry McClain in Uvalda, GA.

Donnie was a member of Isle Of Hope Baptist Church Of Uvalda, GA and St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church Of Lyons, GA. He educated in the Montgomery County School System and was a 1976 graduate of Montgomery County High School. He then attended Georgia Southwestern Technical College in Americus, GA. There he graduated with a Welding Certification. After that, he joined the United States Military to serve his country. He was later Honorably Discharged for medical reasons. Donnie received his formal education fromAbraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA and Albany State College in Albany, GA majoring in Criminal Justice. Donnie was a former Deputy Sheriff for Montgomery and Toombs Counties for a number of years. He was also the owner and operator of Coleman Baled Pine Straw, Inc., Coleman Trucking Company and Coleman Logistics in Midland, Texas oil refineries. After moving to Lyons, GA Donnie met and married Cornelius (Nikki) Harmon on May 25th, 1985. They shared 33 years of marriage and unto this union 2 children were born.

Donnie leaves to cherish his life and memories his wife Mrs. Cornelius Harmon Coleman. His Mother Ms.  Helen Grace Coleman. Three Daughters Porsha Coleman (Keith) Weatherspoon of Ft. Mitchell, AL,  Nakeisha Coleman of Atlanta, GA, and Derrica Holiday Of Tampa, FL. A Son Corey David Harmon Boler (Caroline) of Warwick, GA. Five Grandchildren Emily, Colton, Teara, Tomas, and Baby Bou Weatherspoon due to arrive in July. Four Sisters Terri Coleman (Calvin) Howard, Deborah Coleman ( Sumner) Jenkins all of Atlanta, GA, Alicia Nails Of Tocca, GA, and Phyllis McClain of California.  Two Brothers Darrell Baker of Uvalda, GA, and Keith (Linda) McClain of New Jersey. Two Uncles Edward (Mary Lou) McClain of Uvalda, GA, and Horace McClain of New Jersey. Two Aunts Vernell McClain of Uvalda, GA, and Alice McClain of New Jersey. Father-in-Law David Harmon of Lyons, GA. Three Sisters-in-Law Arlinda Joiner and Natasha Terrell both of Lyons,GA, and Sherry (Frank) Gainey Of Gainesville, FL and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 1 PM until 7 PM at Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home in Vidalia, GA

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:00  PM from the Sanctuary Of First African Baptist Church in Lyons, GA. Rev. Clint McLeod is Pastor. Dr Alfred Cason will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Long Branch Cemetery in Lyons, GA.

Vincent R. Drummer Funeral is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Donnie Lee Coleman.
