Mrs. Eloise Stanley, age 77, of Glenwood, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Meadows Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mrs. Eloise Stanley was born to the parentage of the late Sarah McRae and George Stanley on December 19, 1940 in Glenwood, GA.

Mrs. Eloise was educated in the Wheeler County School System in Alamo, Georgia, where she graduate in the Class of 1958.  Mrs. Eloise served at St. Paul AME Church in Glenwood, GA.  She was known in the community as the “lady that can sit in one spot and see all the way around the corner”, and also depended on when anyone was in need no matter if it was food, clothing, or prayer.  She would do all she could to help.  She had a love for her family and she enjoyed life to the fullest.

Mrs. Eloise was preceded in death by a Sister:  Willie Jane Stanley, Daughter: Shareeka Jones, Granddaughter Hope Jones, Nephew: Curtis Stanley, and a Son-in-Law: Garland McArthur, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories Five Daughters: Sarah Conaway, Gail McArthur, and Louise Stanley of Glenwood, GA, Barbara (Willie) Burns of Mt. Vernon, GA, and Diane (Johnny) Bryant of Columbus, GA.  A Sister-in-Law: Bertha (Bernard) Brazell of Mt. Vernon, GA.  A Godson: David Holloway of Glenwood, GA. Two Special Friends:  Willie Lee Nesbit of Vidalia, GA, and Strawberry of Glenwood, GA.  11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 2 PM until 6 PM at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home in Vidalia, GA.  

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the sanctuary of Prayer Mountain International church in Ailey, GA. Rev. Earl Smith, Sr. will deliver the eulogy. Apostle Nina B. Lee is the pastor. Interment will follow in the Baker Cemetery in Glenwood, GA.

Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Eloise Stanley.
