WallerJimmyPicMr. Jimmy Phillip Waller, age 80, of the Kibbee Community passed away on Sunday morning, February 4, 2018 at the Meadows Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in Vidalia, after an extended illness.

Mr. Waller is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Shannon, who passed away in 2007 and a brother, L.D. Waller.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Tipton, officiating.

Mr. Waller was laid to rest in Tarrytown Cemetery.

His family received friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born in Montgomery County, son of Lamar Phillip and Bertha Warnock Waller.   He grew up in Tarrytown and was a member of the last graduating class of Montgomery County Elementary and High School in Kibbee in 1956. He married Faye Conaway in 1960. The newlyweds moved to Atlanta in the early 1960s where Mr. Waller worked with his brothers in their dry wall business, Waller Dry Wall. Mr. and Mrs. Waller lived in the Lilburn area until retiring in 2007 and returning to Kibbee.

While living in the Atlanta area Mr. Waller and his family attended Browns Mill Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Lilburn. Since returning to Montgomery County they have been members of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye Conaway Waller, Kibbee, GA, two brothers, Carl Waller and his wife, Sue, Lawrenceville, GA, Joe Waller, Suwanee, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were: Chad Kenney, Bryan Myers, Homer Rivers, Tim Poole, Lonnie Joyce and Reggie Black.
