Dec 4--Mrs. Cornelia Morrison Corbin, 101, of Soperton passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Mrs. Corbin was born November 28, 1916 in Washington County and lived most of her life in Treutlen County. She was preceded in death by her parents, James E. Fowler, Sr. and Mattie Mae Wood Fowler; husbands, James E. Morrison, Sr. and Ernest Corbin, Sr.; daughter, Nedra Crews; granddaughter, Alisa Jackson; great-great-grandson, Brody Schriber; four brothers and four sisters.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Soperton, and was a member of the Helen Perry Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Travis Proctor of Hinesville and Fay and Ben Beck of Soperton; grandchildren, Daryl (Melissa) Crews, Karen (Cecil) Harman, Jason (Belinda) Beck, and Alison Beck, all of Soperton, Jim (Laura) Proctor of Las Vegas, NV, Stephen (Mandy) Proctor of Ludowici; grandson-in-law, Dwayne Jackson of Soperton; twenty-four great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11 o’clock Wednesday, December 6, with Reverend George Grimes officiating.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Soperton.
Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Eric Hall, Zachary Crews, Joey Brinson, Nathan Beck, Keenan Jackson, Ayden Jackson, Tate Jackson, Chazz Avery, and Corbin Watts.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and may be reached at the home of Fay and Ben Beck, 1708 Woodridge Loop, Tarrytown, GA.
