Sept 6--Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Kelly Burten Hayes age 70, of Reidsville, GA who passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Georgia.
Kelly was born to parentage of the late Curtis and Catherine Hayes in Alamo, GA on September 30, 1947.
Kelly finished graduation from Wheeler County High School in 1964.  He joined the US Army in 1965, where he served for two years and ranked as an E4.He then met and married Harriet Blount, and to this union a son was born.  He later joined the US Marines, where he became an E6 Sgt. And retired after serving twenty years.
He leaves to cherish his memories a Loving Wife: Harriet B. Hayes of Reidsville, GA.  Two Sons: Stacey Hayes of Lancaster, CA, and Burten Hayes, Jr. of Reidsville, GA.  A Brother:  Elmus (Mamie) Hayes of Alamo, Ga.  A Sister-in-Law: Charlotte Johnson of Collins, GA, And A Brother-in-Law: Westley Jones of Columbus, GA.  Three Grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.  
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 1 PM from the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA. Bishop Vincent R. Drummer will deliver the eulogy.

Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Kelly Burten Hayes.
