May 8-- Mrs. Ruth Pittman Joyner, age 84, of Titusville, Florida, died Friday, May 5, 2017, in Vista Manor in Titusville, Florida, after an extended illness. She was a native of the Ohoopee Community, lived in Vidalia and Johnson Corner, and moved to Titusville in 1964. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Titusville. She enjoyed painting landscapes, and was a talented seamstress. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Joyner; parents, Leonard Pittman and Connie Lou Phillips Pittman; and a sister, Zona Lee Moxley.

Mrs. Joyner is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, William Joyner of Titusville; two children, Teresa Joyner of Mascotte, Florida, and Ricky Joyner of Vidalia; one grandson, William “Duke” Joyner of Vidalia; one brother, Dwain Pittman of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Brian Durden officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 201 South Main, Suite A, Statesboro GA 30458.
