February 6--Mrs. Helen “Mama” McCoy, age 69, of Vidalia, died Friday, February 3, 2017 at her home, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Swainsboro, and lived in Vidalia most of her life.  She was a homemaker, and was a member of the Smith Street Baptist Church in Vidalia. She deeply enjoyed her family-time, kids, and grandkids.  She was preceded in death her husband, Arthur Darrell McCoy; parents, Clyde Alvin Daniels and Ada Estelle Nettles Daniels; a daughter, Judy Dale McCoy; six sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. McCoy is survived by four children, Richard Darrell McCoy and wife Leslie, Rita Marie McCoy, Tammy Jean Stephens and husband Jamie Stephens, and Terry Lee McCoy, all of Vidalia; fifteen grandchildren, Christopher, Casey, Cory, Connor, Caden, Carson, Crystal, Jason, Meghan, Madison, Sean, Lindsey, Tanner, Paisley, and Kenzleigh; seven great-grandchildren, Courtney, Cameron, Liam, Hannah, Saylor, Bentley, and Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 8th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Mr. Sean Beckum officiating.  Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church near Soperton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
