November 28-- Celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season by gathering at City Park for the lighting of the Vidalia Christmas Tree on Tuesday, November 28th at 6:00pm.

The evening will begin with an outdoor showing of A Charlie Brown Christmas movie. Following the movie, the Sally D. Meadows 2nd & 3rd Grade Choir will perform several Christmas songs, and then we’ll light the tree. We want to keep this event to about one hour due to it being on a school night.

The 14-foot outdoor tree will be adorned with new ornaments this year purchased by the City. Nick Overstreet, City Manager stated, “We are excited about the addition of the ornaments and the new Christmas banners throughout downtown. Together, they will enhance the beauty of the existing decorations in the downtown area.”

Kick off the Christmas season with friends and neighbors by joining the community at City Park on Tuesday, November 28th at 6pm.
