June 3--  South Georgians will have a chance to take the measure of four candidates who are running for Congress in the 12th Congressional District.

The four Republican candidates will be in Vidalia Monday night for a debate and forum at Southeastern Technical College starting at seven p.m.  

Answering questions from a panel and the audience will be Augusta contractor Rick Allen, Grovetown farmer and businessman Lee Anderson, Augusta attorney Wright McLeod and Dublin lawyer Maria Sheffield.

The panel includes AJC political columnist Jim Galloway, blogger Charlie Harper of the Peach Pundit, Vidalia Tea Party leader Jim Anderson and Jeff Brown, chairman of the Georgia Southern College Republicans.

The winner of the July 31st Republican primary election will face incumbent Democrat Congressman John Barrow in the November election.

The forum will be broadcast by Your Favorite, 98Q in Vidalia.
