ghostoutWednesday afternoon at Toombs County High School students witnessed results of a staged vehicle crash with injuries and a fatality.

Safe Kids Director Bonnie Brantley explained the accident happened because a student attempted to snatch a large flag from the pickup bed.

The mounting of oversize flags on trucks to show school spirit is a safety hazard, according to Lyons Police Chief Wesley Walker.
