October 19-- Last week was Homecoming Week at Vidalia High School and the Indians capped the week with a football win over Jeff Davis County High School and by crowning Martasia Johnson (left) as the 2017 Homecoming Queen.
Vidalia High School high school reporter Grace Blount reports, "The theme was Vibe with the Tribe, and everything revolved around the Indians. Everything began the evening of Tuesday, October 10, with a Homecoming Dance. Then, students participated in the week’s festivities by dressing up in pajamas on Wake-Up Wednesday, in clothes from different decades on Throwback Thursday, and in all-Indian gear on Fan Frenzy Friday.
In the Homecoming Court, the class of 2021 was represented by Presley Craft and Riley Hammock, the class of 2020 was represented by Mahogany Johnson, Toniyah Cook, Madison Sharpton, and Tyteyana Johnson. The class of 2019 was represented by Mackinzie Craft, Carrington Long, Kasey Jordan, and Dasia Williams. the The class of 2018 was represented by Hannah Brantley, Eliza Brantley, Hannah Poole, Rena Mckenzie, Martasia Johnson, and Jasmin Phillips.
The senior class won the Homecoming Decorations contest.
