Officials with New York City's Bomb Squad say it wasn't terrorism - but they're still trying to figure out just what exploded in Central Park Sunday morning. An 18-year-old and two of his friends apparently stumbled upon some sort of homemade device - it went off, but it was not commercial grade fireworks, say police...more likely "an experiment with fireworks or homemade explosives."
One of the deadliest attacks in Iraq in a decade.... more than 160 killed and nearly 200 others injured in a suicide truck bomb in downtown Baghdad. The dead are said to include 15 children, 10 women and six policemen. ISIS claims responsibility for the attack, which comes despite recent gains against the extremists. A second bomb attack in eastern Baghdad early Sunday killed five people and wounded 16.
The investigation into the deadly siege at a restaurant in an upscale neighborhood of Dhaka includes a search for possible masterminds. The weekend hostage-taking left 20 dead, plus 2 policemen and six attackers...said to belong to banned domestic group Jumatul Mujahedeen Bangladesh, or JMB. One surviving suspect is being interrogated.
The parents of a University of Wisconsin-Madison student has flown to Italy where their son's been reported missing. Nineteen-year-old Beau Solomon's family says he left last week to study at John Cabot University in Rome. They said he was at a bar Thursday with friends but when the group decided to leave he was gone. His friends reported him missing when he didn't show up for class the next day. The family says Solomon's credit cards have been used since he disappeared.
FALSE ISIS CLAIM
Top city officials in Avon, Ohio, are apologizing to a Muslim man wrongly accused of supporting ISIS before police pinned him to the ground and handcuffed him. Authorities say a hotel clerk had her sister call 911 claiming a man dressed in traditional Muslim clothing was on the phone pledging allegiance to the Islamic State terror group. Police quickly realized that did not happen and they released the man, who was visiting from the United Arab Emirates. Mayor Brian Jensen apologized during a face to face to meeting.
NASA's Juno spacecraft will reach Jupiter today and is expected to perform a series of maneuvers to enter orbit around the gas giant... the solar-powered craft will enter orbit about 31-hundred miles above the planet, closer than any of NASA's previous eight missions there.
Hillary Clinton will face renewed questions on the campaign trail after Saturday's FBI interview about her use of private email while Secretary of State.
--The conventions are just weeks away. No word yet on who might be Hillary Clinton's and Donald Trump's VP picks. Trump met with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence Saturday.

Some parents in Colorado aren't too happy after they found out their kids attended a Cub Scout camp sponsored by Hooters. The Boy Scouts of America Denver Area Council says the restaurant approached the organization about working with the scouts. A group of Hooters girls volunteered their time and helped the boys with some of their camp activities - and even posted a few pics with the kids on the company's Facebook page - sporting those tight shirts and short shorts they're well-known for. Some parents complained and those photos were removed.

ICE CREAM BAN
BouIder, Colorado gives ice cream the boot - banning it as a vending option at all parks, pools and recreation facilities - a way to cut down on snacks that are full of sugar and not nutritious. Chips and other junk foods were also pulled from snack stands this year.
