"By sitting down, by sitting in, you're standing up!" Shutting down the House, Democrats led by John Lewis staged a marathon sit-in to demand a vote on gun legislation. The rare move began at about 11:25am ET Wednesday. House Republicans cut off the TV feed of the House floor, so Democrats began broadcasting themselves on their cellphones. By day's end more than 160 House Democrats and more than 30 Senate Democrats participated. House Speaker Paul Ryan calls the sit-in a publicity stunt.

BALTIMORE
Baltimore braces for the verdict in the bench trial of officer Caesar Goodson, to be announced at 10 a.m. Goodson is charged with second degree murder in the death of Freddie Gray.

SEVERE WEATHER
Violent weather was the worry for parts of the Midwest...storms packing large hail and wind up to 70 miles an hour were possible for the Chicago area.

SCOTUS
The Supreme Court has eight cases left to decide before the end of June, including high stakes issues like abortion and affirmative action. One or more of those key decisions could be announced in the day ahead.

A monumental move is before voters in the United Kingdom: whether to leave or stay in the European Union. Voters go to the polls for a referendum on the possible exit dubbed Brexit.

CLINTON EMAILS
According to the RNC,  I-T staffer Bryan Pagliano invoked the fifth amendment 125 times Wednesday during his deposition in a freedom-of-information lawsuit concerning Hillary Clinton’s email.  The deposition was recorded and the transcript is expected to be released Thursday.

FL CLUB SHOOTING
More than a week after the shooting in Orlando, Florida Governor Rick Scott is calling for support of local businesses near the Pulse Nightclub ... that have lost revenue as a result of the shooting.

CRASH TEST
A new study shows that good protection doesn’t always extend across the front seat. The Institute conducted 40 mph passenger-side small overlap tests on seven small SUVs with good driver-side small overlap ratings. Only one of the vehicles, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, performed at a level corresponding to a good rating, and the others ran the gamut from poor to acceptable. 

SEVERE WEATHER
Violent weather in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states. A possible tornado with hurricane force winds  brought down trees and power lines in Cape May County, New Jersey, and put 30-thousand homes in the dark.

CO STOLEN GUNS
Police in Colorado say as many as 60 handguns and rifles were stolen in the burglaries of stores in Littleton Colorado.
