BOY SCOUTS
The National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America voted to remove the ban on adult gay scout leaders Monday. The organization says local scout troops "may continue to use religious beliefs as criteria for selecting adult leaders."

PRESIDENT OBAMA TRIP
President Obama completes his African tour in Ethiopia. He will meet with civil society activists, tour Faffa Foods and hold a bilateral meeting with the chairman of the African Union. Later he delivers a speech at the African Union and then departs to return to Washington DC.

IRAN
Secretary of State John Kerry, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew testify at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the Iran nuclear agreement and its enforcement. Representative Ed Royce (R-CA) chairs the committee.

FL TEEN BOATERS
The Coast Guard in Jupiter, Florida says the search will continue for two 14-year olds who went missing on Friday off the coast of Florida. Officials say the discovery of the boys' 19 foot boat on Sunday is helping them to refine their search area.

VOTE 2016/HUCKABEE
Mike Huckabee doubles down on his criticism of President Obama's nuclear deal with Iran by referring to the Holocaust.  The Republican presidential candidate refused to issue an apology.  Instead, Huckabee released a campaign video Monday as a "Response to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama's Direct Attacks". It features sound from both of them and then a bite from Huckabee in which he says the Ayatollahs will know "that Hell will freeze over before they get a nuclear weapon." 

WILDFIRES
Nearly two dozen large wildfires are burning across four western states and Alaska, according to the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise. The focus has shifted to California and Montana where initial attack and large fire activity picked up over the weekend. A total of 5,000 firefighters were battling the blazes which have consumed 850-thousand acres

WINDOWS 10
Microsoft will release its latest operating system, Windows 10 early Wednesday morning. Microsoft is trying to right the wrongs of Windows 8 says Yahoo Tech columnist David Pogue. Windows 10 is a free upgrade if you've got Windows 7 or later.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD
135 members of Congress have signed a letter asking for a Justice Department investigation into the practices of Planned Parenthood, after videos showing Planned Parenthood doctors discussing the sale of fetal body parts.

GAS PRICES
In the past week the average price of regular unleaded has dropped about 6 cents to 2-75 a gallon according to new numbers out from the Energy Department.  But in California prices are still much higher because of ongoing supply issues. 

CO THEATER SHOOTING
The jury at the penalty phase of the Colorado theater shooter trial heard emotional testimony from James Holmes' sister. His parents Bob and Arlene are also set to take the stand in the day ahead.

ISIS 
NATO allies and Turkish leaders will be meeting Tuesday, at Turkey’s request.  Ambassadors from all 28 NATO member countries will join the discussion, which Turkey requested to discuss threats to its security and its airstrikes targeting Islamic State militants in Syria and Kurdish rebels in Iraq.  Turkey is expected to inform allies about the airstrikes which followed an ISIS suicide bombing near Turkey's border with Syria that left 32 people dead, and an ISIS attack on Turkish forces, which killed one soldier.  NATO itself is not involved in operations against the Islamic State group, although many of its members are. As an alliance, however, NATO is committed to helping defend Turkey.

LA THEATER SHOOTING

Lafayette Police say their investigation inside the Grand Theater is complete and will be released to the owners shortly.  Off duty officers have been hired by the theater to work security until the owners decide to reopen.  There is no plan for that yet. 911 tapes and any surveillance video from last week's deadly shooting might soon be released. 

TX JAIL DEATHS
More than two weeks after the in-custody death of Sandra Bland in a Texas jail, new questions are being raised about her arrest and incarceration.

OLYMPICS/BOSTON
Boston is out...the city's bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics is over... The US Olympic Committee and Boston severed ties.  The Boston bid soured within days of its beginning in January, beset by poor communication and an active opposition group that kept public support low. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti says he wants LA to have another crack at hosting the games.

CA MISSING GIRL
Police in Santa Cruz, California believe they have found the body of a missing 8 year-old girl and a teenager is under arrest. The body was found in a dumpster at the apartment complex where 8-year-old Madyson Middleton went missing. A 15-year-old boy who lives in the apartment complex has been arrested. 

JOE JACKSON
Joe Jackson - the patriarch of the musical Jackson family - is in the hospital recovering from a mini-stroke in Brazil.  Jermaine Jackson says his father also suffered a cardiac arrest following the stroke, but medical exams show it's not as bad as first feared.

BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN
The initial portion of the autopsy for Bobbi Kristina Brown has been completed and showed no significant injuries.  The autopsy did not reveal any obvious cause of death and additional laboratory testing will be performed by Georgia's Fulton County Medical Examiner.  A death certificate will not be issued and cause of death not determined until all the tests are completed.

BOOK OF MORMON
The 2011 Tony Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon arrives at last in Salt Lake City for a two-week touring run on Tuesday.  Tickets are selling out.

DR. SEUSS
Dr. Seuss died in 1991, but his writings live on.  On Tuesday, Random House Children's Books will publish a recently discovered manuscript with Dr. Seuss sketches, called What Pet Should I Get?
