What caused a small plane to collide with an F-16 fighter jet over South Carolina Tuesday? NTSB investigators were to begin their probe, as the search for the bodies of the two people aboard the smaller plane presumed dead continued. The F-16 pilot ejected safely but was being checked out at a hospital as a precaution.

Debate in the South Carolina House is expected to begin Wednesday on the measure to remove the Confederate flag from the front of the Statehouse, now that the state Senate has approved the move.

A man accused of murder in the shooting death of a young woman at a San Francisco pier pleading not guilty at his first court appearance. The case is reigniting the fiery debate over immigration because the suspect Francisco Sanchez is an illegal immigrant, who's been repeatedly deported. The judge issued a bail of $5 million. Sanchez's next court appearance is July 27.

Two law enforcement officials briefed on the case told ABC News that the Indiana home of Subway fast food pitchman Jared Fogle was searched as part of an ongoing investigation into child pornography.  It's an off-shoot, we're told, of the arrest of Russell Taylor, who used to lead Fogle's charitable foundation until his arrest in May on child porn charges. Subway said in a statement and the company and Jared Fogle have agreed to suspend their 15 year relationship due to the current investigation.
