June 18-- The Vidalia Convention & Visitors Bureau will host its second free summer concert on the Stage at City Park on Saturday, July 4th beginning at 8pm and ending the night with Fireworks.
The Georgia Ride will perform “That Georgia Rhythm”, a musical trip through The Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Some of the best music on the planet has roots in the great Peach State. From classic R&B and everyone’s favorite oldies of the 60’s and 70’s, to southern rock anthems and million selling top 40 country and pop hits!
The Georgia Ride will take you on a musical journey, performing hits from the artists who have been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. You’ll hear the iconic music of Little Richard, Ray Charles, Dennis Yost & The Classics IV, James Brown, The Tams, Otis Redding, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Kenny Rogers, Mother’s Finest, Travis Tritt, Black Crows, Alan Jackson and more!! It will be a non-stop, hit-after-hit, hand-clapping, toe-tapping good time!
And we’ll cap off our Independence Day celebration with a spectacular fireworks display in downtown.
The series continues on Saturday, August 15th with a community tailgate event with the Vidalia High School Marching Band performing. Kick-off the football season and show your support for the home team. On Saturday, October 3rd, our series will conclude with a jazz concert performed by the Three Rivers Symphony Winds.
